DIM (Diindolylmethane)

DIM (Diindolylmethane) is naturally synthesized in the body from a compound known as indole-3-carbinol, which is found in cruciferous vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage, and broccoli.

Research has found that DIM acts as a mild aromatase inhibitor helping to reduce the rate at which testosterone is aromatized into estrogen and thus to support a healthy balance of testosterone and estrogen.

Recommended Dosage

As a supplement for hormonal balance, we recommend taking 1-2 capsules (200 – 400 mg) per day with or without food. We do not recommend exceeding the recommended dosage as side effects are more likely at higher doses.

Side Effects

DIM (Diindolylmethane) is generally well tolerated though as with all supplements that alter hormone levels related side effects are possible. The most common side effects of DIM usage are a darkening of urine, headaches, and gas. Less commonly, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, and a skin rash have been reported.

As DIM supplements will alter estrogen levels people taking exogenous hormones or who have hormone sensitive conditions should not use DIM unless directed to do so by a medical professional.
